Qumulo, Inc., Seattle, WA Seattle-based enterprise data storage startup Qumulo Closes $24.5 Million in Series A Funding. Formed in 2012 by leaders from Isilon Systems, Adobe, and Wily Technology, Qumulo is reimagining enterprise storage. Qumulo: An Enterprise Storage Startup Focused on Scale, Simplicity, and Efficiency Valhallans in the News Valhalla and Madrona Sponsor Event at AWS re: Invent On November 27, 2012, Valhalla Partners and Madrona Venture Group co-hosted a "Cocktails and Conversation" event at the Venetian in Las Vegas at Amazon Web Services' inaugural re: Invent Conference. Approximately 100 people attended "Cocktails and Conversation" including Valhalla's Charles Curran, and Madrona's Greg Gottesman, Matt McIlwain, Tim Porter, and Erika Shaffer. Valhalla, Madrona and Highland Capital Partners recently joined together in the $24.5 million Series A funding of Valhalla seed graduate Qumulo in Seattle. Other "Cocktails and Conversation" attendees included executives from AWS and CEOs of startup companies, particularly those in the AWS ecosystem. AWS is clearly a leader in cloud infrastructure. Valhalla believes that AWS re: Invent conference may become a "go to" event in the cloud market, the way VMWorld has become in the data center market.
