Valhalla Officers' Club kicks off activities with seminar on company exits
CxO's from 14 Valhalla Partners portfolio companies met on May 2, 2008 at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Gainesville, VA for the inaugural session of the Valhalla Partners Officers' Club.
The morning featured sessions on “Company Exits” by Ryan Naftulin from Cooley Godward Kronish, Manish Sarin from Merrill Lynch, and CxO's from Valhalla-associated companies present and past who had gone through acquisitions or public offerings.
One common theme of the event was thinking through and planning for what would happen after the exit transaction was as important as the transaction itself.
In the afternoon, many of the crowd stuck around for a round of golf on the world-class RTJ course.
