Valhalla's Kevin Greene spoke and lead a discussion about university and venture capital partnerships and their importance to sustaining our country's innovation economy at the annual Senior Research Officers Meeting of AAU institutions.
The meeting convened about 50 Vice Presidents for Research from around the nation including those from Stanford, Hopkins, Duke, Texas, and Berkeley, representing about $30B/year in research activity. The objective of the meeting is to identify issues that relate to the funding, conduct, and regulation of university research.
The Association of American Universities is a nonprofit association of 61 U.S. and two Canadian preeminent public and private research universities. Founded in 1900, AAU focuses on national and institutional issues that are important to research-intensive universities, including funding for research, research and education policy, and graduate and undergraduate education.
