Randy Jacops joined Valhalla as a Venture Partner in 2012. He assists Valhalla with evaluating investment opportunities and advising Valhalla portfolio companies on performance improvement. Randy has 20 years of experience in enterprise technology and has focused his professional career on driving profitability and shareholder returns.
Prior to joining Valhalla, Randy was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Versata Enterprises, Inc., one of the largest privately held enterprise software firms in the world, where he championed both customer success and exceptional profitability. During his tenure with Versata, the company acquired and turned around nearly 20 troubled software companies, integrating them seamlessly into Versata's high-profit global operations. Prior to Versata, Randy worked at Deloitte Consulting, leaving as a partner in 2000. Randy started his career in Finance at Ford Motor Company, where he served in a variety of capacities from the plant floor to finance staff.
Randy received an M.B.A. in Finance and Operations from The Ohio State University and a B.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from Kent State University. Randy continues as an avid fan of all Buckeye sports.
Randy lives in Austin, Texas with his wife, eight children, and three dogs. He spends his free time watching kids' sports events and enjoys running and strength training when he has time.
